Her traditional Indian approach to yoga, mantra and in the same time her relaxed, open and creative way of teaching and the way she offers her knowledge from different cultures of Asia, were inspiring for me. Come to learn with Samanta in April while she will be traveling in Europe and taste different techniques she offers so warmly and lovingly.
FRIDAY
Hatha yoga Alignment
We move through Asanas with a focus of inner and outer alignment of postures, followed by Pranayama / breath Awareness and a brief Meditative practice. Hatha which means the balance between sun and moon or the Ida and pingala nadis or energy channels is for inner and outer alignment focus unifying asana and breath together and bringing a sense of balance or samasthiti into one’s yoga journey.

Restorative yoga with singing bowls
Come and relax in this session of resting into poses with the support of props, blocks, bolsters and walls in order to feel a sense of deep release and this way get into the parasympathetic mode. This practice is going to be supported with healing sounds of the Tibetan singing bowls deepening your sense of rest and shifting you into a theta state, where maximum healing can occur.

SATURDAY
Japa yoga and Mantra vinyasa
Join us and get to uderstand the magic of different Mantras, their meaning, get to understand different ways of repeating mantras of variet deities / energies, Bija / seed mantras. Discover and use them for your own meditative practice.We will also flow into a vinyasa using breath and mantra to increase focus and energy in our body.

Thai massage in pairs
We will move into a sequence designed to release deep stored tension in muscles and joints. We will remove blockages in our energetic body with acupressure and gentle stretches often called Lazy mans yoga or Passive yoga. We will work into usually tense areas like neck, shoulders, hips, back and feet. This is a fun practice done in pairs. You don’t have to come with a partner and no prior experience needed.

SUNDAY
Mudra Vinyasa flow
Discover what Mudras are and how they can be used. Moving into a vinyasa flow using 2 to 3 different Mudras. You will enjoy closing Mudra meditation followed by a deeply relaxing yoga nidra, which is guided sleep meditation, using sweet tunes of sound healing.

Qi-gong and self acupressure
We will move through a flowing qi-gong sequence, moving energy fluidly through the body by simple movements and breath. Followed by a seated practical practice of self acupressure healing to inspire you for your daily life in order to release tension, increase immunity, fix headache, insomnia, backaches with Aroma oils. Followed and closed by a deep relaxation.

ABOUT SAMANTA
Samanta’s personal journey began when as a teenager, she became a performer with choreographer Shiamak Davar. After 15 years as a performer, she transitioned into practicing and teaching yoga in the year 2000. She opened the first boutique yoga studio in Mumbai in 2009.
Over the last 20 years she has explored and mastered several healing therapies for the mind and body like Vedic chanting, Osteopathic Thai Massage, Chineitsan, Movement therapy and uses them in her group, private sessions, yoga festivals, retreats and workshops.
Samanta blends a wealth of knowledge and experience to create a unique approach that unites awareness with movement, breath, heart and humour. She teaches in festivals, workshops and retreats around the world.

Samanta was the Wellness Programme Director with Swaswara – an eco holistic, yoga ayurveda retreat, from Oct 2011- March 2012 where she trained yoga teachers for 6 months and helped in defining the yoga and detox programmes on offer. She has worked with the Aman Group In Vietnam as a visiting practitioner offering her healing modalities. She also devises corporate Wellness Programmes which incorporate Healing Asana Alignment, Breathwork, Yoga Nidra, Sound Healings and Meditative practices.
