PRALAYA & traditional TANTRA
Subtle energetics Yoga & Mantra meditation practice within the Sri Vidya Tantra tradition. (For student who have already done courses, workshops or retreats with Laurence)
Tantra is the teaching, the reality we seek to realize. Mantra is the sound form of the Deity. Yantra is the energetic body of the Deity through which the Tantra and Mantra can be visualized and internalized
During this workshop we will prepare and make the body available for the energetic vibrational exploration with Pralaya Yoga and visualizations of the energetic body (the body as a Yantra).
The Mantra practice:
Japa Prakaranam – Preparation to the recitation of Mantras which includes Nyasas (combination of mudra and mantra placed on specific body parts to activate subtle energies). Pranayama – Shiva Maha Mantra & Shiva panchakshari Mantra – Omkara (recitation of the sacred syllable OM)
February 8th: Bahir Matrika Nyasa (chanting and placing of the Sanskrit alphabet on the external/physical body)
March 1st: Antar Matrika Nyasa (chanting and placing of the Sanskrit alphabet on the internal/energetic body)
Created by Robert Boustany, Pralaya yoga is characterized by a series of alignments techniques specifically designed to balance, protect, prolong the longevity of the joints and muscles fibers by identifying and strengthening the weakest muscles, loosening tight muscles,by breaking down fascia connective tissue and opening fascia lines.
The resulting alignments help prevent injuries, accelerate the healing process of existing imbalances, release physical and nervous tension, develop strength and flexibility, generate and release energy flow, and give access to the energetic field.
Tantra sees the body as the Universe.
Sri Vidya Tantra is a tradition of Goddess worship, whose symbol the Sri Yantra, or Sri Chakra, represents the union of the Feminine and Masculine principles, the whole Manifestation of the Universe, and the subtle energetic body. This tradition is a Mantra Marga, a path of Mantras. The practice, amongst others, includes the recitation of Mantras.
